Halo and Call of Duty Map Pack Devs Make New RPG

Certain Affinity is mostly known for creating map packs for games like Halo and Call of Duty. This is why we were surprised when the company announced that they were creating their own standalone title, completely separate from anything FPS related.

The title is called Crimson Alliance, and it will be one heck of an RPG according to what Certain Affinity is saying. They also say that it’s the title that they’ve been dying to make. President and CEO of Affinity, Max Hoberman, stated in a press release,”One of the reasons I started Certain Affinity was because I wanted to make a game like this – an action RPG with clever AI, fantastic physics and deep emergent gameplay that can be enjoyed with friends in the living room or halfway across the globe.”

I look forward to seeing just what Crimson Alliance will be. The game will include five playable classes, including Wizards, Assassins, and Rogues. From what I can tell, the game will somewhat resemble Champions of Norrath, or Baldur’s Gate. Either way, those were great games, and I am sure Crimson Alliance will be as well.
