Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Details

All of you have been waiting for it and now it’s here. Details about the multiplayer side of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have finally hit the net. Here’s a look at some of the killstreaks and perks that players can look forward to, including some general details.

According to Kotaku, the game currently has 20 maps that are in development for its multiplayer. There is no information as to how many will make it on the actual game, and how many will be pushed into DLC at the moment.

Also, the site says that Modern Warfare 3 will introduce Team Perks, requiring the whole team to work together to achieve. No details on how they work have been given, but we know that four of the new perks will be Stopping Power, Blast Shield, Health Regen, and Stun Protection.

New player perks added to the game include Blind Eye, Assassin, Point Guard, Dead Silence, and Recon. There have been hints that the game will include some perks from Modern Warfare 2, though Black Ops perks will not be seen in the title.

Finally, here is a list of the killstreaks announced for the game:

EMP Grenade: Temporarily takes out all area electronics

Littlebird: A tiny remote-controlled helicopter.

Precision Airstrike: Calls in an airstrike on a targeted area.

Stealth bomber: Calls in a B2 Spirit to carpet bomb along a line designated by the player.

Remote Turret: A remote controlled turret.

Directional UAV: A UAV that can be directed into areas to scan for enemies.

Remote Mortar: Direct a mortar team using a zoomable camera view of the map to call in strikes.

Airdrop Trap: A booby-trapped airdrop.

Ammo Resupply: An ammo reloading airdrop.

Escort Airdrop: A protected airdrop.

Specialist Strike Package: This one is still unknown at this point.
