Right now, we’ve got about eight full months before we can get our hands on Mass Effect 3. The game’s release is one that numerous fans are waiting for, and the anticipation continues to build. One of the most sought-after reveals in the history of the game is that of Tali’s face, which the company is not ready to deal with. Not right now, anyway.
BioWare had an interview with CVG, and the game’s Executive Producer, Casey Hudson, spoke with implication that the development team hasn’t really decided on what to do about the character. She issued a statement that in one hand seems to say that the team has made a decision and they hope fans like it, while in the other says that they are still up in the air.
We changed Tali—that was tough because people were very passionate about her. A lot of people want to have her face revealed and obviously people are going to be pissed off either way.
Like “I thought she was going to look beautiful!” or “I thought she was going to be the most hideous thing ever!” So we’ve had a lot of debate over Tali’s face, but that’s the one we kind of dread a lot. We’re always “well, let’s talk about something else for a while!” That’s something we’re going to have to decide.
Right now I think that BioWare is just focused on making the fans happy. The last thing they want to do is to let anyone down with this last installment in Shepard’s journey into the beyond. With the statement being issued, what do you think? What would you want to see?
