Star Wars: The Old Republic Beta Weekends Starting In September

An announcement has come out of San Diego dealing with BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. During this September, there will be closed beta weekends where players can get a taste of the game for themselves. “These weekend play sessions will be open to selected players worldwide and create an opportunity for fans to get a sneak peek of the epic stories, worlds, quests, battles and characters in the game,” said EA in a statement.

The game’s actual beta has been going on for some time now, and the introduction of these weekends must mean that the game is nearing completion. There is still no release date for the game in sight, though some fans are assuming that we could see the game releasing in October. Could this possible?

On top of this, the game’s Collector’s Edition has already sold out on Origin, EA’s digital distribution service. Word has spread fast, and fans are flocking to this new game, as expected. This means that if you plan on getting your copy, you may want to pre-order it while you can.
