The First Full Look At Booker DeWitt From Bioshock Infinite

When playing an FPS game, players get the chance to literally step inside the shoes of many characters, experiencing the story of the game close-up and personal. One drawback of this is that you only get to be acquainted with the character’s hands and sometimes lower body. With that being said, it’s not too surprising that we haven’t gotten to see too much of Booker DeWitt, the protagonist in the upcoming title from Irrational Games, Bioshock Infinite.

What did surprise us, however, was when this magazine cover surfaced, giving us a face-to-face look at the character we’ll be playing in the game. This is the latest issue of EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly), and it boasts artwork that is very much a comic style inspired by the Uncanny X-Men series.

I am actually pleased with the way that DeWitt is presented. It’s nice to be able to come face-to-face with an FPS character that we’re expected to be close to for hours of play time. I look forward to getting into Bioshock Infinite, and seeing just how DeWitt carries himself throughout the streets of Columbia. If you want to learn more about the game, you can venture beyond the cover for an interview with Ken Levine, discussion on the E3 demo, and even some new facts about the 1893 World Columbian Exposition that served as inspiration for the game.
