Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC Update Slices Loading Times

I loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution. In fact, I am still playing it, and will be for a while. The one complaint I did have about the game, however, was the lengthy amount of time spent on loading screens. The game isn’t too forgiving, and unless you’re playing on the beginner difficulty, you’ll see your share of these screens.

Luckily, the folks over at Eidos have been working on the issue, at least for the PC version, and released an update. This update drastically cuts down on the loading times in the game, and some machines have seen these times decreased over 50%. Add to this the addressing of an issue which caused a game crash that affects some AMD/ATI hardware configurations, and you’ve got a worthy update.

Also, the mouse sensitivity has been augmented, which should fix a lot of problems with aiming and such. Oh, and that pun was definitely intended. Has anyone out there got the game on PC? If so, what do you think about the game’s performance after this update?
