The Haunted Unreal Mod Gets Grabbed By THQ
The 2010 “Make Something Unreal” contest had its fair share of entries, but one stood out amongst others in the crowd. Known as “The Haunted,” this mod has gotten praise all across the board, and has even been picked up by a major gaming developer. That’s right, someone’s mod is becoming a game right before our very eyes.
Meet “The Haunted: Hell’s Reach.” THQ quickly nabbed up the mod once it won the contest, and is turning it into a full-length third-person shooter that will be due out this October. It’s survival horror at its most terrifying, and players will soon get to try it out on the Xbox 360, and PS3 in early 2012. The game is already set to release on the PC in retail and on Steam.
This game is a very violent and dark shooter that really hits with the grit and grotesque. I think the gore meter was cranked up past eleven when this mod was made.
