World Of Warcraft Popularity Decreases

There have been many MMO’s throughout the years, but none have been more popular than World of Warcraft. It is easily the most played MMO currently in existence, and it’s easy to see why. The game offers a wide variety of playable characters, a magnificent RPG experience as well as a great PvP system. Even with all that any game will decline in popularity at some point.

During a Blizzards earnings phone call CEO Mike Morhaime revealed that since May WoW has lost around 300,000 subscribers, taking the game from 11.4 million subscribers to 11.1, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t that much.

World of Warcraft has been around for about 7 years now, so it’s only natural that the games popularity has declined slightly, however in my opinion all it will take is a good amount of fresh content to bring a resurgence to the game. What’s you take on the matter?
