Heavy Rain Won’t See A Sequel

One of the best titles I’ve had the pleasure of playing for the PS3 is easily got to be Heavy Rain. The game’s story was deep, the gameplay was compelling, and it looked amazing all the way throughout. Once I got through the game, and claimed numerous endings, I still found myself wanting more. I was hoping for a sequel to the game, and it didn’t even have to have a direct story, I would have settled for a brand new storyline and characters. Well, it seems like my dreams have been crushed as it’s been confirmed that Heavy Rain just simply won’t be seeing a sequel.

In a recent interview with Develop, the game’s creator David Cage said that. “I’m not in this business to make money. I wrote Heavy Rain because I was excited about it, because there was something to say. Yeah I could make Heavy Rain 2, but I’ve said what I’ve had to say about it. That’s the strength of Quantic Dream, to have the capacity to create new ideas, to make something that breaks ground.”

In essence, this shuts all doors of opportunity for us ever seeing Heavy Rain 2. Though a sequel won’t be seen, I am fully anticipating Cage’s next title, whatever it may be. Have any of you had the chance to play Heavy Rain? If so, are you fans?
