L.A. Noire’s Team Bondi Closes The Case, Along With Its Doors

The developer responsible for L.A. Noire has officially closed their doors. Team Bondi, based out of Sydney, has been placed into administration as of this week.

This news surfaces after a rough few months with the studio at the receiving end of some dramatic trauma. Team Bondi has been the victim of allegations of unsatisfactory work conditions, claims of misconduct, and more. Former employees filed complaints against the developer, and Rockstar was unlikely to publish their next game. Some of these complaints even stemmed from some employees not being mentioned in L.A. Noire’s credits, which added to the confusion on the issue.

SmartCompany documents were filed with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission showed that Team Bondi went into an external administration on August 30th, just three days ago. A source close to the company informed IGN that after a deal fell through for Team Bondi’s next game, some of the company slipped into George Miller’s studio, KMM, to work on Happy Feet Two.

This means that the developer is most likely done for good, and still continues to be in hot water over the issue. As more arises on this story, we’ll try to update as we can. For now, don’t be looking forward to L.A. Noire 2 anytime soon.
