Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure

I have no idea how many Spyro games I went through when I was younger. The games obviously changed over time, but it never ceased to bring the same amount of enjoyment. It didn’t have amazing graphics or anything like that, but it had some fun puzzles, funny characters, and the storyline and main character grew in a way through multiple games that made you want to keep playing.

When I saw that there was another Spyro game coming out, needless to say I was pretty excited. Skylander: Spyro’s Adventure is a really interesting bridge between virtual world and real world game play. In this game you receive three little figurines which are actually mandatory to complete the game. As opposed to simply pressing a button and swapping out which little creature you want to use, you actually get to physically switch them out.

The box only comes with three little “skylanders” as they are called, but there will be other toys released which you can use in the game as well. A platform that is also in the box will be the playing area for these figurines. And don’t let these little guys fool you, they can grow in strength over time and track their own statistics. This action and puzzle game is going to be a fun way to pass the time, and probably an excellent pacifier for kids. You will be seeing it on the shelves next month.
