Worms Ultimate Mayhem Release Date Updated

Team 17 announced a short while back that the newest title in the Worms series was being pushed back a week from its original release date due to some last minute polishing the development team wanted to put into the game. Little more news was given on the subject, but now the developer is clearing the air. According to Team 17, the game has received an updated release date that’s being reflected in retail as well as on Steam. Players can now pick up the game on its new release date of September 28th. That’s just about a week away.

With the new title, a brand new feature has been added into the game. The worms in the series can now be fully customized. Players can customize what their worms wear, with a huge selection of silly hats, hands, gloves, moustaches and glasses available, and also what gravestones and speech banks the worms have. The game modes are also highly adjustable, enabling players to tailor the individual game settings to their own tastes. There is also a ‘Wormpot’ feature, which allows even further game style adjustments, with over 1,000,000 possible combinations! Players can even create their very own Machiavellian weapon of mass destruction in the “Weapon Factory,” decide how it is launched, what effect it has and even what it looks like.

The Worms series has spawned a lot of fans over its run, and these players will not be disappointed with the newest entry. Worms Ultimate Mayhem should be the biggest, most explosive Worms title yet. Are you looking forward to it?
