Square Enix Sets Out A Plan For Deus Ex

According to Square Enix President Wada, the publisher clearly has a plan for the series, hinting that Deus Ex: Human Revolution will not be the last game in the series. In an interview with Eurogamer Marce-Andre Dufort from Eidos Montreal explained that while this may be true, the developer’s main focus right now is set on the success of Human Revolution’s release.

When asked about working on another Deus Ex title, Dufort stated that, “I would like to, but I don’t know what the future is right now. I know that Wada-san said he had a plan for the future, but right now we’re celebrating the success of the game, since it’s the first game of the studio. I don’t know if you’ve seen the credits of the main game, but there were a lot of production babies, so I think people want to spend some time with their families and take some time off. That’s pretty much where we are right now.”

The interview goes on to speak about “The Missing Link” DLC that’s on the way for the game, so it’s worth a read. It’s great to know that at least the game’s publisher has a plan set out for the future, as Human Revolution released to great reviews and a massive audience. After shipping two million units worldwide, it would make sense to expect another Deus Ex title on the horizon. To see the full interview, head on over to Eurogamer.
