Indie Game Dustforce Makes Fluid Platforming Look Amazing
With the exception of possibly Luigi’s Mansion and Blinx the Time Sweeper, using household cleaning products in platforming has been flying under the radar lately. Not that those games weren’t great titles, but players want something with style. We want to clean at super speeds all while implementing sweet kicks and chops! With Dustforce all of our dreams will come true.
Hitbox Studios is responsible for this sweeping platformer, and it’s quite the different title. Players take the role of an “acrobatic cleaner” who wall-jumps, slides, and flips to clean dust and debris from tons of different looping surfaces. Added to all this is the ability to employ broom-based martial arts, which completely adds a spin to the game.
Check out the video below, and get ready for the game when it releases early next year. It will debut on the PC and Mac, though no price or specific release date has been given yet. Keep on the look out for this game, it could be one of the better indie game’s we’ll see in the coming year.
