MechWarrior Online Will Be Powered By CryENGINE 3

News has been stacking up regarding the newest MechWarrior in the works. MechWarrior Online was announced not too long ago and is slated to be released sometime in 2012. A couple of days ago, though, we received another announcement regarding the the engine that the game would be running on.

MechWarrior Online, an upcoming mech-combat MMO is being designed to run on CryENGINE 3. This is awesome news for people who are planning on buying this game. Popular (and visually pleasing) games such as Crysis, Crysis 2, and ArcheAge have all run on different versions of CryENGINE.

The game will be free-to-play and, like I said above, is planned to be released sometime in 2012. The official MechWarrior website can be found here. Go check it out and reserve your pilot name.
