He’s short. He has a mustache. He’s the hero who saves the princess. His name is Mario, and he’s got a story to tell. This little Italian plumber has been through many different trials and tribulations, and now it’s time for you to hear about them all – in the form of song.

That’s right, we present to you from the minds of JonandAl, “Super Mario Bros.: The 8-bit Opera.” These guys have taken our beloved hero’s tales of fortune and danger and threw them together in one epic operatic performance. Honestly, it’s not bad. There’s even a teaser at the end!

Mario runs throughout the world while narrating his strides in an amazing opera-style voice. In the video you’ll see him smash goombas with style, fight death with perfect pitch, and escape peril while keeping in rhythmic time.
