Get Festive With The Team Fortress 2 Australian Christmas Update
Just in time for Christmas, Valve has set out the Australian Christmas update for Team Fortress 2. This is the second-annual update, and it brings with it plenty of treats for those good little Pyros and Engineers out there. The update is, of course, free of charge to anyone who owns the game. All you need to do is start the game and the update will be applied.
In the Australian Christmas update, players will fins many new gifts awaiting them. To start with, two new Dr. Grordbort weapon packs are available – The Moonman Pack for the Pyro and The Braniac Pack for the Engineer. There will also be 14 community-created weapons int he game that will drop in Nice Crates, along with strands of festive weapon lights in Naughty Crates, all through December 22nd. To help your decision-making in the Mann Co. store, over 50 items will see savings up to 75 percent off running through January 2nd. Oh, and did I mention that the drop rate for all items will be doubled during this event’s first week?
That’s better than getting a stocking full of candy on Christmas day! Well, maybe not, but it’s still pretty awesome. A new Team Fortress 2 comic has been released as well, and it features Santa being assaulted by a child. It’s entitled “A Smissmass Story,” and you can check it out here.
