Minecraft LEGO Set Is Officially A Go

Not too long ago we covered some news regarding the creation of a Minecraft-themed set of LEGOs that Mojang was wanting to bring into fruition. Basically Mojang went online to a site called LEGO Cuusoo which is dedicated to providing amateur LEGO designers with the opportunity to bring their ideas to life. If their ideas are approved they will be able to make an official set of the bricks based on what they submitted.

Mojang made a submission based off of Minecraft and the idea has passed through its review. In just a matter of days from being submitted the project gained the 10,000 required supporters it needed and it went under review. LEGO Cuusoo has announced that everything is a go, and Minecraft LEGOs will soon become an official product.

Of course the set is nowhere near ready, and LEGO is “developing a concept that celebrates the best aspects of building with the LEGO system and Minecraft.” For now the community will need to practice their patience, and just relax until more word comes through. Until more details arrive, take the time to get into Minecraft and set up some amazing creations you’d love to bring to the real world. It’s time to get building.
