Canned Steampunk Batman Game Footage

A little while back, we got to see some screenshots from a steampunk batman game that will never see the light of day. While it was certainly sad to see such an awesome idea be tossed into the waste bin, it was still tolerable knowledge as we didn’t have much more to go off of. Well, that was until Siliconera posted some mouth-watering prototype footage from the artists.

Everything in its rough stages looked amazing, which makes my heart a little sad that I’ll never get to play it. Seeing as his cape alone was tremendously fancy, can you think of what the gadgets for this game would’ve turned out like?

What’s killing me is why this game didn’t make it. Steampunk is certainly on the rise in mainstream media. Hopefully all the attention this footage and the previous screens are getting will put this game back into production. They obviously made a bunch of progress, now all they need to do is start it up again.
