Prototype 2 Has Some New Pre-Order Incentives
Prototype 2 is approaching fast, and it’s setting sights on your pre-order wallets. Activision has announced some new pre-order bonuses to players who pony up to grab and reserve their copy. Of course, these bonuses will be spread out across different retailers, which means you’ll need to make a wise decision when choosing where to place your money.
First of all, anyone who pre-orders the game will automatically get bumped up to the RADNET Edition of the game. This new edition will include a collection of 55 free in-game Events, Challenges, Avatar Items, Dynamic Themes, an Alex Mercer skin, bonus Mutations for the main campaign and Behind-The-Scenes videos. Now on to the specifics. Those who grab the game from Best Buy will grab the Steel Vehicle Armor upgrade, as well as a unique steelbook case for the game. Over at Amazon players who pre-order Prototype two will be able to get a unique code that allows them to instantly download the first issue of the Prototype 2 comic, “The Anchor,” which details the dynamic fall of Alex Mercer.
As for GameStop, there wasn’t mention of any special content for pre-orders. The RADNET specials are planned to be distributed over seven weeks after the game’s release, and Activision reserves the right to discontinue any of these items at any time. Prototype 2 will release on April 24th for console, and July 24th on the PC. Get ready to mutate very, very soon.
