There Is No Halo 4 Beta Site, No Halo 4 Beta Either

Contrary to what many may believe, Halo 4 will not be receiving any type of public beta. 343 Industries announced this little tidbit while hosting a Q&A session. Frank O’Connor answered many questions about the new game, including details that Grifball will be available in the game. About the beta, O’Connor says that, “…we are focused on polishing and shipping out experience for the duration of this year, and splitting resources to manage and build a beta is not on our schedule.”

Along with this news came other information about the fake Halo4beta.net site that scammed some internet users. Microsoft has recently won a legal battle against the site, and since the news that no beta is coming has spawned, we don’t expect any sites to be put to use on the matter. There has also been a complaint against Halo4beta.biz, and we imagine it will turn out the same.

To some this may be crushing, seeing as Halo 3 and Halo: Reach held their own betas. Some fans may argue the fact, but it will stay as it stands. It seems to me that 343 just wants to focus on the game at hand and produce a sequel that the fans need, and they’ve some big boots to fill. Right now Halo 4 is supposed to release sometime this year. You can read more of the Q&A here.
