Tribes: Ascend Release Date
Everyone and their brother seems to be using the Unreal engine. Although, I can’t blame them as it makes for some beautiful scenery. A once beloved sci-fi online multiplayer shooter is seeing a revival, and its offspring is called Tribes: Ascend.
It will be functioning on the Unreal engine 3, and will be free-to-play on PC. Although, it will be selling character packs for real cash just like League of Legends. Similarly, there will also be tokens that you will earn from each match and use for upgrades and such.
Developer Hi-Rez Studios gave the official release date, which will be April 12th. If this was a game that you’re getting all excited over, be happy to know you don’t have to wait very long. There is currently an open beta happening at the moment if you’d like to see what you’ll be getting yourself into, but it’s looking pretty fancy to me.
