Wizards Releases Lords of Waterdeep – Bringing Legendary City Control To Your Tabletop

The time has come for you to battle your friends – who could quickly become enemies – for control of the legendary city of Waterdeep. In a new board game that’s just been released from Wizards of the Coast, you’ll need to use all of your cunning and wit to keep power over the city at large.

Lords of Waterdeep is a strategy board game for 2-5 players. You’ll take the role of a masked Lord of the city, and through your agents you’ll recruit adventurers who will complete quests for you. Through these quests players will earn rewards and increase your influence over the city. You can expand the city by purchasing new buildings which will open up tons of new actions on your behalf. These can also help – or hinder – other players by playing Intrigue cards to help you set out your plans.

Lords of Waterdeep looks like a fun game, and I’m giving it a shot. For a table of inquisitive players, the game could take hours to complete. It’s available right now, and you can get it for around $35 on Amazon. I’ll be reviewing this game next week, so keep an eye out for it!
