Guild Wars 2 Will Host Their Second Beta Weekend In June
Last week AreaNet announced that the second beta weekend for Guild Wars 2 was being delayed. The developers were putting in some hefty hardware at their location which caused the push. It looks like now, though, that everything is back on track. AreaNet has said that the second beta test weekend should happen mid-June.
Starting on Friday, June 8th at noon Pacific Time players can once again get into the game. This will be right at the end of E3, so players won’t have to worry about missing out on any of the events taking place at the event. After all, it is the biggest gaming event of the year, so missing out on any information could be serious.
Player progress in the previous beta event will be carried over, meaning that you can start right where you left off. AreaNet has addressed some of the beta issues, such as “party movement into overflow servers, chat functionality, key bindings, server stability, performance,” and a few more features. The fact that this second beta weekend is coming soon helps suggest that the targeted 2012 release for the game is right where AreaNet is aiming. Maybe we won’t have to wait until 2013 after all?
