Persona 4: The Golden Hits PS Vita This Fall

It’s about time a nice, fully-stocked RPG to hit the PS Vita, and Atlus is here to make that happen. Persona 4: The Golden will release for the handheld this fall, as according to the game’s official website. This port of the original PS2 title was confirmed back in the summer of 2011 as a Japan release as a more full and expanded version of the original. In Japan the game will release this June, and this is the first confirmation of the localized version for the states.

On the official website there’s some odd trademark information in the fine text towards the bottom of the site. It suggests other platforms for the title, as both Xbox 360 and the Kinect are both listed in the info, though there aren’t any logos visible. Now this could be, like Kotaku pointed out, some copy-pasta text that made it to the site that somehow became edited incorrectly. I’d love to see the game on other platforms, and strongly think that Atlus should go through with it.

The Persona titles have always stood out as a phenomenal RPG series in my gaming career. They introduce vivid storylines with deep characters that really sell the world in which the game takes place. I’m still hoping for a brand new Persona title, but if The Golden makes it to the 360, I’ll be a happy camper.
