There’s something amazing about being able to run three monitors off of a single graphics card. Once you have access to that much real estate, it’s hard to imagine going back. Until the 600-series from Nvidia, AMD’s Eyefinity-enabled cards were the only ones capable of performing such a feat. Unfortunately, to take advantage of all three monitors, you needed one with a DisplayPort, or an active DP-DVI adapter.
Sapphire has released one of the first AMD cards that can support 3 monitors using two DVI ports and an HDMI. They even include an HDMI-to-DVI cable, so that the only thing you need are three monitors with DVI ports. And if you do happen to have a fourth monitor lying around with a DisplayPort, you can hook it up in addition to the others.
So aside from that awesome feature, the new card is a standard Radeon 7870 with 2GB of DDR5. It does ship with a dual BIOS, which allows you to enable a factory overclock from 1000MHz to 12000MHz.
