Ubisoft Announces Wii U Exclusive ZombiU [E3 2012]

Nintendo has always had a reputation for being a “kiddy” company, due in part to a lack of “mature” games available for their systems. Ubisoft seems to want to change that a little bit, as they’re releasing a zombie survival horror game, exclusively for Nintendo. The title is simple: ZombiU.

With the song “God Save The King” being played, we see still shots of people in obvious duress, and as the camera pans away, you’ll see the cause: zombies. These zombies seem to be of the “virus” variety, as at one point, we see a man looking at a computer screen that apparently shows how the virus mutates people. That same person’s arm is covered in this black, vine like infection that appears to be spreading up to his body. As the camera pulls up, we see him pointing a gun in his mouth with his good arm, and as the camera pans around, we see that there’s a horde of zombies rushing towards him, but it’s too late. He’s pulled the trigger, and his frontal lobe is coming out the back of his head.

There’s not much else to say about this game, except that it’s going to be a release title for the console. It’s going to have zombies, and lets face it, that’s always fun. No gameplay footage was shown, but they’re not half-assing this. They’re going for broke, by making this an M rated game. It looks to be pretty awesome, though just remember, it’s only for the Wii U, so you’ll need to to buy one if you want to play it..
