Half Life 3 Images Leaked?
Today we received an interesting tip from someone, pointing us to half a dozen images. Most of them are blurry, and look like they were taken with a camera phone pointed at someone’s monitor. Why would this be so interesting? Because our source claimed they were from Half Life 3.
With some of the images, I’m not even sure what I’m looking at, and one is nothing more than a filename. Obviously it’s not hard to change a filename, so it really means nothing to us. Perhaps someone at Valve would recognize it, and that’s who the picture is intended for (the supposed leaker did say that his motive was personal revenge.)
The only image that looks like it could be from Half-Life is one that has the HUD from HL2 on it. It’s not from any scene that I remember, but again, that doesn’t mean much. Seeing that it’s not terribly difficult to superimpose the HUD onto an image, it could be easily faked. With nothing terribly substantial to see, I’m going to remain highly skeptical. We’ve contacted Valve to see if they can verify if these are indeed fake.
