Pixel Pi’s Pulse: Who Knew Cute Could Be So Terrifying?

When you think of a first-person shooter game, the first thing that comes to mind is being a hero with a gun who’s blasting off the heads of all your enemies. It’s always nice to change things up a bit, so why not play an FPS where you’re a little girl who throws fuzzy creatures around? Ok, so that sounds pretty lame on its own, but once you learn the premise, this game gets kind of amazing.

It’s called Pulse, and you will be playing as a little girl named Eva who is blind. She can’t see with her eyes, but she can get a feel for her surroundings from echolocation. Sounds from the world around her allow her to see a little bit, but when things are farther off in the distance, she lobs around some stupid, yet cute, creatures called Mokos.

This is a very suspenseful survivor game, as there are massive creatures that you have to get away from, and you can’t see them. While you want to make sound to be able to know what’s going on, you also don’t want to disturb the giant monsters that are lurking about. This game is free to play, and can be downloaded here.
