Skyrim 1.7 Beta Update Is On Steam Today

It looks as though the 1.7 Beta for Skyrim is on Steam. Although it’s not on PS3 and Xbox 360 just yet, it is definitely planned for release. PS3 players will be happy to know that mounted combat from the 1.6 update will be headed their way in the 1.7 patch.

The following is a list of all the Bug fixes this new update is going to bring to all platforms (unless it says otherwise):

  • General memory and stability optimizations
  • Fixed crash related to new water shaders
  • Fixed rare crash related to dragon landings
  • Fixed logic error with loading screens from add-ons (Xbox 360)
  • Using vampiric grip and swimming no longer prevents swimming animation from playing afterwards
  • Improved recognition with Kinect voice commands (Xbox 360)
  • Kinect-enabled dragon language shouts for French, German, Italian and Spanish work properly (Xbox 360)
  • Fixed issue with Dawnguard Kinect-enabled dragon shouts for French, German, Italian and Spanish (Xbox 360)
  • Fixed issue with Dawnguard Kinect-enabled dragon shouts for French, German, Italian and Spanish (Xbox 360)

For PC players, go here to find out how to participate in the Beta. If you do opt to be a part of it, don’t forget to back up your saved games as we don’t want any unnecessary overwriting to happen.
