Street Fighter X Tekken DLC To Add 12 Characters, Releases July 31st
If you’re a fan of Street Fighter X Tekken, but you feel that the total number of characters is a bit lacking, well you’re in luck! On July 31st Capcom is releasing a character DLC pack that will add 12 more characters to the 38 characters already in the game. The price for the DLC will be $19.99 for PS3 owners, or 1600 MS points for Xbox 360 owners.
The press release also announced some interesting news for the PS Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken. If you purchase a Vita version when it’s released this fall you’ll receive 2 download codes in the box: one for the extra characters, and one for free alternate costumes for the 38 core characters. And, what’s more, these codes transfer to the PS3 as well!
Now, while this DLC is all fine and dandy, there is a dark side to it. The DLC itself is already on the game discs, meaning that essentially you’re spending 20 bucks to unlock code you already have in your possession. Capcom claims that it’s to “save hard drive space” and also to make sure that everyone, DLC purchasers or not, has a “single, unified version of the game”.
