Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Will Release Earlier Than Expected

The new third-person action title featuring all of our favorite robot friends, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, will be releasing earlier than we previously thought. According to High Moon Studios the game will be launching on August 21st and in Europe on August 24th. The previous scheduled street dates were August 28th and 31st.

We usually don’t see release dates getting pushed forward, so what could be behind this? High Moon says it’s the sense of pride in the developers over their work and the continued fan requests for the game. So many people have been asking to receive the game that High Moon wants to deliver.

Fall of Cybertron picks up where its predecessor, War for Cybertron, left off. The Autobots and Decepticons are still fighting it out for control of their dying planet. Just like with the previous game players will be able to experience the story from both sides of the conflict, playing as both Autobot and Decepticon characters.

The story digs pretty deep and High Moon has been working closely with Hasbro to insure that the game plays out the way the story demands. Players will be able to do a lot more and experience plenty of new features with Fall of Cybertron unlike ever before. As a fan of the first game, I am more than excited to get my robot hands on this sequel. News like this makes it a good time to be a Transformers fan, am I right?
