Awesome Mod Collection Adds A Time Machine To GTA IV

If I had to sum up in one word why I prefer to game on a PC, it would be “mods.” “Graphics” would be a close second, but mods can add so much more to the life of a game. Long after you’ve played through to the end and discovered every secret, you can still keep adding new content for free. Sometimes it’s new areas to explore, and other times it’s adding a DeLorean into the game.

I’ve seen a ton of mods for GTA IV, but the video below shows off a few really cool ones that work well together. Not only do you get the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future, but it’s detailed beautifully on the inside. You’ll be driving around as Marty, and even time traveling once you  hit 88 MPH (but only if your time circuits are on, and you’ve got a full tank of plutonium).

When you make the jump, your car will disappear, complete with fire trails and sounds from the movies. You’ll then reappear at a later time in the game world. Granted, this isn’t going to send you hundreds of years into the future, but it will change the time of day, and traffic, accordingly.

If you want to do this to your game, the video’s creator warned that it is no small task.  It uses 9 different mods, and a variety of tweaks that they didn’t even list. While this may be a more complex mod than you’re willing to add to your game, it’s still pretty awesome.
