Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream Shows Up On Xbox 360 This Friday

Valve announced earlier this morning on their Twitter feed that the long awaited DLC ‘Cold Stream’ will finally be appearing soon on the Xbox 360 this Friday, August 3rd. As many fans are aware, the DLC has been been in the works for over a year and a half after being announced in February of 2011. That’s a long time to wait!

The Steam (PC/Mac) version of Cold Stream was made available last week for free on July 24th. Unfortunately for Xbox 360 owners, the DLC is not free, and will cost you 560 Microsoft Points. That’ll comes out to around 7 bucks.

Of course, what’s most interesting about Cold Stream is the fact that it was made by the community and not by Valve themselves. With that being said, Valve has taken the time to tweak and modify the campaign, making it an official map, though it doesn’t necessarily fit in with the storyline. And don’t forget, if you get bored with Cold Stream but you want to play some of the older, L4D1 maps that the DLC also includes ports of the Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest, and Crash Course maps, and you’ll also be able to play all the different mutations at any point in time.
