Metal Gear Solid Movie Confirmed

People have joked about some Metal Gear Solid games being more like interactive movies, than games, due to the length and amount of cutscenes. Seriously, once a cutscene drags on for 45 minutes or more, you tend to forget that you’re actually playing something. Well one of the next Metal Gear games being worked on is completely removing the interactive portion.

Yes, you read that right. After hints and rumors, it has been confirmed that there is a Metal Gear Solid movie in the works. This information was released by X-Men and Spider-Man producer Avi Arad, who is working on the film.

Unfortunately, past Arad’s involvement, little is known about the film. We do know that it will be produced by Columbia Pictures, here in the US. No word on when production is set to begin, or how closely the movie will stick to the original material.
