It’s that time of year again gamers! The semi-annual LAN War event is happening this weekend in Bloomington! It’s the place to gather with friends, enjoy all the NOS you can drink, and get your game on for 24 hours of nonstop gaming greatness. It’s one of the biggest LAN events in the Midwest, and you wouldn’t want to miss out on that would you? Of course not, so make sure you get your registration on now!
We’ve expanded this year, and instead of our usual 200 gamers we’ve moved to a venue that will double that amount of the most hardcore players out there. This event runs this coming weekend from October 13-14 at the Monroe County Fairgrounds in Bloomington, Indiana. Seats for the event will run $20, and that includes dinner, breakfast, and a raffle ticket for the sweet swag drawings that will take place all night.
GamerFront will be in attendance as always, just like the events before. We’ll be bringing with us a lot of the items that we’ve reviewed on the site, including the Razer Naga MMO mouse, GameSkulls GS-1 Helmet, Steelseries Kinzu, and many more. Attendees will be able to check out the products and demo them on-site while GamerFront staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
This year we’ve teamed up with the owners of local game shop The Common Room to provide some old-school gaming for those who opt to take a break in between tournaments or to adjust their eyes. You’ll be able to come over to The Common Room’s vendor booth and check out a game to take to one of the provided game tables and spend some time working your brain in tabletop wonder. There’s something for everyone!
As of right now there are still seats open, but they won’t stay that way for long. There will be plenty of action at this semester’s event and you really don’t want to miss out. We’ll be offering tournaments with prizes for League of Legends, Counter Strike: GO, StarCraft II, Tribes, DotA 2, and Team Fortress 2. Make sure you come out and join the fun!
