Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC Confirmed, Releasing In December

A little while ago there was some noise rolling around the rumor mill that Bethesda would be releasing a brand new set of DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim called Dragonborn. After a bit of waiting the developer has officially announced the DLC, confirming our assumptions. The company also revealed that the content will be releasing on December 4th for the Xbox 360. No dates have been mentioned for PC or PS3.

A new trailer has been released for the content and it’s quite intriguing. Players will be roving the Island of Solthseim in this new piece of content and dragons will in fact be able to be ridden. From what we know, the Dragonborn DLC focuses on the very first of your kind, an entity known as the Dragonbeast. He seeks to return to the lands he once ruled, and he did not once serve dragons. He maliciously devoured them.

The new DLC looks so far to be the most exciting piece of content yet. I love the idea of riding around on dragons, and with this new menace looming over the land, there’s a lot to wonder about how the dragons will react. Will you work together with them to defeat this new evil? Will the Dragonbeast bend these creatures to his will and use them against you? We’ll have to wait and find out.
