Journey Got A Grammy Nomination!

When you play a game, there are a lot of different aspects that you immediately judge it for. The game mechanics, art, story, and the music are all contributing factors. If you got the chance to play Journey, then you know how phenomenal all of the sensory experiences were.

Those of you who will be watching the Grammy Awards in January will be pleased to know that the soundtrack to Journey is a nominee! How much you want to bet that Austin Wintory wasn’t expecting to be up against names like Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, and John Williams? He really did something magical with that soundtrack, and it’s amazing to see that there is going to be some recognition for it!

This will be the 55th Grammy Award Ceremony, and it will be happening on January 22, 2013. Perk up your ears whenever you hear “visual media” announced. I may be a fan of the other composers in that specific genre as well, but I am all out behind Mr. Wintory on this one.
