Earlier this year, Skygoblin released the first chapter of its endearing point-and-click adventure game, The Journey Down. With it’s unique art style and gameplay, gamers will find themselves reminded heavily of the classic Grim Fandago with a Carribean twist. The majority of the main cast is african-american, making for a refreshing change from the norm.
The game centers around Bwana and Kito, who work at a boat chartering and fuel station, and their adventures surrounding the people they meet, hoping to find out more about their lost father along the way. Quirky quests line their path, making for an enjoyable romp with timeless game mechanics.
The Journey Down: Chapter 1 was just released to the iOS today, and for the first week will be available for just $.99! Those interested in buying the PC version can do so on their website, or wait until it becomes available on Steam on January 9th, with more chapters scheduled to release in the future.
