Remaining THQ Properties Getting Sold Off In Court-Approved Sale

A little over a month ago THQ sold off its studios, and with them their respective properties. However, not every studio picked up a buyer, and so there remained several different properties that had yet to find new homes. It looks like that’s all going to change here soon, though.

THQ announced yesterday that the remaining franchises the publisher owns will be sold off as part of a “court-approved sales process”. In the auction there will be 6 different items up for grabs. Darksiders, Red Faction, Homeworld, and MX are being sold separately, while the rest of the remaining games will be put into 2 different bundles. The first bundle will contain all licensed games, while the other bundle will contain the rest of THQ’s stuff that aren’t licensed properties.

The deadline for people submitting bids is April 15th. So far, it looks like THQ has received tons of interest from other companies in acquiring the remaining titles from the once-great publishing giant. At least some of these deserving games will finally get a home with a new company that has a more stable footing.
