Ubisoft Releasing Prince of Persia For Portable Devices

Ubisoft released a video yesterday announcing that it would be re-releasing a remake of the original Prince of Persia games on tablets and smartphones later this year.  The video featured a small amount of gameplay from the original game, followed by footage from the re-release.  The updated version obviously features CGI graphics over the 16-bit stuff from the 1993 version, though some would argue that this isn’t much of an improvement (as a quick glance of the comments on the video would tell you).

The game looks reminiscent of the Assassin’s Creed portable games, such as Discovery and Altair’s Chronicles.  Whether or not it plays as poorly remains to be seen.
