Batman: Arkham Origins American Collector’s Edition Announced

Last week the European Collector’s Edition ofBatman: ArkhamOrigins was revealed, and at the time it was assumed that we’d be seeing that same version across the pond. It turns out that we were wrong. Instead, the American are getting so much more.

Available for the PS3 and Xbox 360, this Collector’s Edition comes with a bitching statue of The Joker sitting at a desk surrounded by TVs “featuring LED effects produced by TriForce”. The edition comes with other goodies as well, including an 80 page full color hardcover art book, a Batman wanted poster, and even a Batwing prototype schematic. This set will cost a pretty penny, however: $119.99.

Also included in the set are “2 key pieces of evidence taken directly from the Gotham City Police Department crime lab”, an Anarky logo stencil, a glow-in-the-dark map of Gotham City, and a Wayne family photo. As in the European edition, you’ll also get the Assassin’s Intel Dossier, which comes with the files on 8 assassins as well as Black Mask’s contract, the “1st Appearance Batman Skin”, the Dethstroke Challenge Pack, and the PS3 version comes with Knightfall as an exclusive bit of DLC. And if you’re not in Australia or New Zealand, you’ll getNecessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics, which is a feature-length documentary that focuses on the company’s “most terrifying villains.” What really makes that documentary good, however, is the fact that Christopher Lee is narrating it! That might almost be worth the 120 bucks right there!
