Assassin’s Creed 4’s PC Launch Date Is Surprisingly Early

When it comes to Ubisoft and PC gamers there always tends to be some tension. While a hot new game might be released for all the consoles in November, the PC version inevitably gets held back to December or even January. This time, however, the delay between the console versions of Assassin’s Creed 4 and the PC version is actually quite minimal.

Ubisoft announced yesterday just when the PC version will be released. That date is November 19th, after the current generation’s version, but right in between the PS4 and Xbox One’s release date. That’s right folks, Ubisoft is launching the PC version of a game before a console version!

Admittedly, it still kind of sucks that the current generation is getting the game a full 3 weeks before the PC version. And really, the only reason why the PS4 and Xbox One versions are so late is because of the fact that those consoles aren’t even released until the second half of the month. But you have to admit that Ubisoft is slowly but surely bringing down the amount of time between versions. Here’s hoping that by next year the PC version ends up coming out the same day as the console versions.
