With over 20 million Kingdom Hearts units sold (whether that be original Kingdom Hearts, the series in total, or the 1.5 HD ReMIX, I don’t know). And fresh on the heels of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX, Squeenix have announced Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX. With Kingdom Hearts being a large part of many people’s childhood, it’s nice to see that these games are being re-released in HD so past generations can re-live their memories, and new generations don’t have to miss out on the experience. Keeping the format of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX, 2.5 HD ReMIX will consist of a full title, a portable, and HD cut-scenes from a game nobody liked, all re-made in HD for PS3.
The games included in the 2.5 HD ReMIX will be as follows:
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (HD Cut-Scenes Only)
I’m personally looking forward to playing Birth By Sleep in HD, as I never finished Aqua’s story.
In other Kingdom Hearts related news, Kingdom Hearts 3, which is also a thing that’s happening (finally) has received a new trailer, which you can view below.
What do you think of the new trailer? Is there too much Kingdom Hearts in our lives now? Squeenix have been pouring it on pretty thick with the KH related announcements, but the nostalgia makes things okay, I think. What about you?
