Wrath Of The Lich King Release Date Announced

Wrath of the Lich King

Don’t be surprised if in a couple of months I seem to fall off the face of the planet. I lost several months of my life to World of Warcraft, and as of November 13th, there’s a good chance that I’ll get sucked back in. I’ve all but stopped playing for the last several months, however, I won’t be able to resist taking my mage up to level 80.

Blizzard finally announced the official launch date of the second expansion to their somewhat popular MMO. November 13th will bring us both a regular expansion and a collector’s edition SKU. The contents of the collector’s edition are listed below.

  • The game on DVD-ROM
  • A 208-page LK art book
  • Frosty, the baby frost wyrm (non-combat pet)
  • A DVD with developer interviews, commentary on the cinematic, etc.
  • Soundtrack CD
  • Mouse pad with a map of Northrend
  • Two starter decks for the CCG, and two exclusive cards

The new pet and art book will probably make it worth the extra cash to most people, and if you’re into the CCG, then you’ll definitely want to get your hands on it. The expansion itself will cost you $40, while the CE will set you back an extra $30.
