Minerva’s Den Bioshock 2 DLC Hits PSN and Xbox Live August 31

Bioshock 2’s final DLC will be available on August 31st for the PSN and Xbox Live according to 2K Marin. Dubbed Minerva’s Den, the DLC adds three new areas to explore while in the titular level and it shadows the main storyline. This means that players do not need to complete the story before they decide the fate of the six little sisters littered throughout the DLC.

2K Marin also states that, as an added bonus to those who purchased Protector Trials, players will be granted access to the Master Protector tonic in Minerva’s Den, which simultaneously increases the harvest times for Little Sisters that you may be in the company of and the ADAM they collect. The new tonic can be picked up in the Gatherer’s Garden.

Minerva’s Den also introduces a new plasmid, a new weapon, and a new Big Daddy type called the Lancer.

The new DLC is available August 31st for 800 Microsoft points, or $9.99 on the PSN.
