Fans of the Serious Sam series have been somewhat at a loss since the release of Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter. A lot of players were left hanging with the game’s end in the first title, asking ‘More? Where is more?!’
Finally Majesco Entertainment has confirmed that Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter will launch on September 22nd. Most people remember these games due to their narrative prowess and intense character development. Besides, everyone loves the “shoot everything and live through it all” title.
In the new encounter players will be rewarded with three new weapons – the Sniper Rifle, Chainsaw, and Flame Thrower, as well as co-op support for up to four players across twelve new maps. The game also introduces new team-based and competitive modes to add to the action. No price has been slapped on the new DLC for the game, but I think it’s pretty safe to assume it will be around the 1200 Microsoft point range (about fifteen bucks).
