BioWare Seeks To Fix Broken Shadow Broker Mass Effect 2 DLC For PC
PC players all over the world are agonizing in a combination of head-desks and facepalms due to the issues with the new Mass Effect 2 DLC “Lair of the Shadow Broker”. Apparently the new content is incompatible with all Windows systems as reported by Big Download.
BioWare Community Coordinator Chris Priestly was noted as saying, “I haven’t said anything as we are working on this issue. I understand you are all irritated by this, but we want you all to play, so we are working hard to determine and fix whatever is causing this.” on the official BioWare forums.
[Update:] Priestly has apparently created a new thread tracking the issue. You can view that thread here. Apparently the original download was corrupt and it prevented all PC users from playing the new content. That file has since been removed from BioWare’s download section. Priestly reassures us by saying, “We are working on a fix for the issue and we will get a working file up for PC users ASAP.” There still is not a specific ETA on the fix, but we will be sure to follow the progress and let you know when there is.
