Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Making A Return, Only For PS3? What?
From original developers Just Add Water comes a very exciting announcement – a HD remake of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is in the works. That’s amazingly good news. The original title was such a hit when it debuted as an Xbox exclusive.
Now for some odd news about Oddworld.
It seems that this HD title will only be out for the PS3, making it a PS3 exclusive. No talk about a 360 version has surfaced yet. Yes, this the epitome of irony. A great game that exploded on to the shelves as a Xbox exclusive returns to HD finally, and it’s not compatible with the Xbox 360.
Ps3 owners, though, are going to be filled with sheer delight. Stranger’s Wrath was a very unique and diverse title, and one of the most memorable shooters to ever grace consoles. Seeing the game played in HD will be amazing, especially since it will support the Playstation Move.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath will be available as a downloadable title on the Playstation Network due out Easter of 2011. One piece of hope I can give Xnox 360 owners is this – don’t give up hope. Although it seems this title will be PS3 exclusive, the word “exclusive” was nowhere mentioned in the press release. So don’t worry too bad, keep your heads up.
