This Week On Playstation Network – What All The Maintenance Fuzz Was About

As we can see through the comments, a lot of you weren’t too happy with the Playstation Network being down for nine hours yesterday. If you read the article then you would see where we mentioned that the main reason for the outage is due to new content being added to the Playstation Store. Well, folks, we have done our research and we have the breakdown of exactly what has been added to the network, and we have it all here for you.

New Playstation Network Games

Three new PSN titles will be available this week on the network. Bladekitten and Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue are both available for $14.99 each. Also Sonic Adventures, the Dreamcast classic, can be picked up for a cool $9.99. International Track & Field will now be discounted for all PSN users in addition to the three new titles.

Demos/Add-Ons

There are lots of new demos for all you network users this week. DJ Hero 2, Bladekitten, NBA Elite 11, Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue, Vanquish(Challenge Mode), Kung-Fu Rider, and Sports Champions can all be demoed via download. New add-on content is available for EyePet, Clash of the Titans, Red Dead Redemption, Sonic Adventures, Planet Mini-Golf, ModNation Racers, Skate 3, Borderlands, and Dead Rising 2 are all titles with shiny new add-on content this week. Also, like always, new songs are available for Rock Band and Guitar Hero as well.

PSP Add-Ons and New Titles

Two full games have been added to the PSP game listings this week. Cladun: This is an RPG! can be added to your PSP game collection for $19.99, and you can pick up 101-in-1 Megamix is available for $14.99. Tons of free Gladiator Begins add-on content can be downloaded too.

Playstation Plus

This brings us finally to the Playstation Plus update for this week, which is only available for premium PSN users. Zen Pinball is now available for all PS+ users for free, as well as the Playstation Mini Echoes and the PSone game Syphon Filter which is a classic title. Sword and Soldiers can be picked up for $9.99, only for PS+ users. Cuboid, Savage Moon, and some LittleBigPlanet add-on content is all available at discounted price this week. There are even PSone classic imports from Japan such as Cho Aniki and Gaiaseed available for download but only for PS+ users.
